Coming Together

September began with a wonderful community event for our Primary students: Sports Day.

Throughout the day, the children took part in different sporting challenges, cheered one another on and enjoyed plenty of friendly competition and team spirit.

We were especially grateful to the parent volunteers who joined us and helped throughout the day. Their support played an important part in making Sports Day such a success and turned the day into a true community event.

After an active morning, everyone came together for a BBQ prepared right there on site — a perfect way to round off a fantastic Sports Day.

         Coffee &

Curriculum

Our families also came together for our September Coffee & Curriculum, this time focusing on How We Teach Maths at KIBS.

The topic connected back to our June Life at KIBS theme, Maths – Fun & Logic, and gave parents the opportunity to look more closely at how mathematical understanding develops and how we encourage children to think, reason and find their own ways towards a solution.

From cheering on our students at Sports Day to exploring learning together at Coffee & Curriculum, these moments are an important part of the partnership between school and families.

Growing Together

For our youngest children, community begins with the everyday routines they experience and practise together.

In Daycare, our children have been exploring hygiene, healthy habits and daily routines through practical, age-appropriate activities.

From discovering why we brush our teeth to thinking about which foods are healthier choices, the children learn by doing, talking, sorting and trying things for themselves.

These may seem like small everyday moments, but for young children they are important steps towards independence. They learn to make simple choices and gradually understand how to take care of themselves.

And when these routines are learned and practised together, they naturally become part of everyday life within the group.

Our Community

Whether families are joining us for a school event, parents are discovering more about learning at KIBS or our youngest children are mastering everyday routines together, each of these moments is part of our community.A community that grows through participation, connection and shared experiences.
